Throughout his career, Bill has focused on designing and developing innovative technology solutions for complex business problems in the areas of defense, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and life sciences. Today, he uses that experience to help customers leverage IBM Netezza’s advanced database and analytic technologies to solve their problems in ways they never thought possible. |

Derek Norton, Solutions Executive, Revolution Analytics Derek has a broad and deep background in analytics and currently helps organizations identify ways to maximize the value that can obtain from Revolution R Enterprise. Derek has expertise in a variety of areas ranging from developing models for fraud prediction for Jewelry Television to developing a fully automated modeling system for IHG. One of his greatest strengths is his extensive experience building advanced statistical and machine learning models for a variety of applications from marketing to credit scoring, and the corresponding ability to put them into easily understood terms. Derek also has a passion for the R language, and has presented at multiple international UseR conferences on topics such as automated modeling and building an R presence in a SAS environment. He is also the founder and director of the Atlanta R Users Group. He holds both a BS and MS in Statistics focusing on Financial Econometrics and Data Mining and is currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics focused on Data Mining. |
